The Mississippi Valley Welcome Center hosts several year
round events.

January 30-31, 2010: Eagle Watch

Thousands of eagles flock to the Mississippi River Valley in January.
The welcome center partners with the Corp of Engineers and the Wapsi
Environmental Educational Center to demonstrate and discuss birds of prey.
Demonstrations are made possible by the Friends of Wapsi and people can
experience many species up close and personal at this annual event. This
event is always held the last weekend in January.

May 16, 2010: Garden Party
In conjunction with LeClaire May Market Days, this event will
focus on
local garden themed products and a farmers market. Vendors will be lined
up outside selling flowers, home grown vegetables, plants, organic
fertilizer, planters, and food.
11am-4pm.
- June 4-5, 2010: Garage Sales
The Welcome Center and city of LeClaire will be converted into hot spot to
find the best deals around in this city wide event. Over 20 locals will
feature their garage sale items inside the welcome center along with
featuring other locations in the city to hit up for other great deals.
- June 13, 2010: Farmers' Market 11AM – 4PM Every 2nd Sunday of each
month June through October: vendors will be selling
vegetables, flowers, garden art, and other items.
- July 11, 2010: Farmer's Market 11AM – 4PM Every 2nd Sunday of each
month June through October: vendors will be selling
vegetables, flowers, garden art, and other items.
- August 15, 2010: Farmer's Market 11AM – 4PM Every 2nd Sunday of each
month June through October: vendors will be selling
vegetables, flowers, garden art, and other items.
- September 10-12, 2010: Sidewalk Sale and Farmer's
Market
Summer may be officially over, but not the sales! Be sure to stop by the
Welcome Center to get the best deals around for this first time ever
event.

October 10, 2010: Apple Festival
& Farmer's Markets
Over 21 years going, the Apple Festival showcases the glory of the fall
harvest. Local apple vendors selling apples, apple crisp, apple cider, and
all other apple goodies bring in thousands of people for this major event.
Local vendors feature pies, cookies, baked goods, and don’t forget to grab
the famous LeClaire Lions brats as you wander through this outside event.
Bring the children as there is a petting zoo, carriage rides and
children’s activities to go along with it!
- December 4-5, 2010: Christmas in LeClaire
Enjoy this long standing event and stop by the welcome center to partake
in one of the stops for the Christmas Walk. Carriage rides downtown
LeClaire and great specials inside the Iowa Peddler Gift Shop.
